Redraw Challenge - The Earth That Falls

I did this photomanipulation for DigitalRipple's Redraw Challenge. This is the original: 


I wanted to keep the main elements intact: the idea of your last day on Earth, the planet, the water reflection, and the shooting star. Except my shooting star spells death for all those living on that planet in the sky.

I really welcome constructive criticism here, since I don't do many photomanipulations.
